Tile
There are many different factors that come into play when choosing tile.
Tiles are made from many different materials. Two of the most popular are ceramic and porcelain.
Others include glass, natural stone (travertine, granite, limestone), marble and cement. There are also mosaic tiles which come in many different shapes, sizes, styles and colors. Mosaic tiles are mainly used for accent walls and spaces.

Another thing to consider is the difference between floor and wall tile. The main differences between the two are durability and friction rating. Floor tile is usually more thick and able to stand up to a lot of foot traffic. Floor tile can also be used as wall tile as long as the wall can bear the weight of it. Wall tile however can not be used on the floor because it is too fragile.
